Vintage Motor Coach Restoration

Bernhard Bus Services loves to restore vintage motor coaches. When we breathe new life into an old rusty bus, we feel more rejuvenated than the bus does. When we tackle a restoration project, we utilize a host of various mechanical, engineering and cosmetic skills to ensure your restoration project is absolutely a joy to behold and drive.

We can build coaches for special needs as well including for the disabled, for sales, hobbyists or really just about any conversion imaginable.

A Look inside a Restoration Project

Recently a customer asked us if we could not only restore an old bus, but was it possible to turn the ride from an old clunky feel to a new modern and comfortable ride. Loving the challenge and having the skills, we happily took on the project.

It was a complex project but we were up to task. The work required us to actually cut the body in two different places, cut and raise the roof, place the body on a new chassis, insert a new engine and transmission and then paint everything to give that brand new look. Of course there are literally hundreds of details required but in the end the customer was absolutely thrilled. You can see the photos below to see some of the actual stages for the work.
